The EU Feed Chain Task Force has decided, for the sake of transparency, to publish after a quality check and interaction with notifiers, the list of notifications which it considers as illegal and which the notifier has not accepted to withdraw without providing relevant justification. This list is submitted to the EU authorities to seek their assistance to contact notifiers or to confirm that the notifications are illegal and can be withdrawn from the register by the register managers.

The list of suspected illegal entries for the years 2021 and before is attached at the bottom of this page. Upon confirmation by EU authorities, these entries will be withdrawn.

. 4 October 2019

The new online feed materials register is now operational. The interface with users has been improved significantly, in particular with export functions and access to the list of products which have been withdrawn from the register for legal reasons. The most important changes however concern the notification of new feed materials with several check steps to encourage notifying companies to verify against different parameters whether their notification is suitable and needed. The general principle remains however the same: the notifications are made upon the entire responsibility of the notifying company and the presence of a product on the feed materials register cannot be considered as an assurance of its feed material status. Among other significant developments, we can emphasise i) the multilingual notifications that are facilitated, the entry language being English, i) the obligation to provide information on the placer on the market on behalf of whom the notification is performed, and the access granted to national and EU authorities to the name of the company placing on the market and of the notifying company if different. This should facilitate the task of national authorities to verify, if relevant, the actual legal status of a product notified by a company.

. 23 June 2017 : The third update of the EU Catalogue of feed material was published in the Official Journal od the Union (Regulation (EU) 2017/1017). All new entries in the catalogue will be withdrawn from the present register without prenotification to applicants in January 2018, where the new Catalogue will be fully enforced.
